Founder & CEO
Diego is the managing partner at BelaCor Capital, LLC, a private investment and management company that specializes in investing and consulting for small businesses in Austin and its surrounding areas. Diego is an experienced finance executive specializing in corporate strategy, competitive analysis, M&A, equity/debt analysis, and valuation. Mr. Batista is a force multiplier for BelaCor’s partnerships and member companies, providing their executive teams with financial insight, planning and strategic assistance. He is also the founder of Lifted Spirits, a non-profit charity organization that provides emergency relief for Hospitality Industry professionals in the Austin Metro area to ensure our community is able to meet their basic needs in times of crisis or distress. Diego is a battle-tested, serial entrepreneur with extensive knowledge, vast community network, and ample personal experience in the food and beverage industry. One thing that makes Diego stand out is his unique vision and ability to drive a business beyond its limitations to new boundaries, helping it achieve sustainable long-term success.
Manager
Kyle is a hospitality veteran of 15 years, starting his long time career at the Chili’s Bar and Grill in Roanoke, Texas. He first joined the Brinker International family in 2000. After 4 years with Brinker, Mr. Hobbs then spent the next 10 years in Lubbock where he held management positions with Jimmy Johns, La Madeleine, and Jersey Mikes. Managing these fortune 500 companies has helped him develop the skills to maintain and operate a variety of restaurants. Kyle moved to Austin, Texas the fall of 2020 and now holds the position of General Manager for BelaCor Hospitality.
Treasurer & Manager
A highly accomplished dedicated professional with experience in accounting, financing and real estate. Analytical, organized, and proactive, Kaylie has a reputation for being a “hands on” manager with the ability to multitask in a fast paced environment. Kaylie has been with BelaCor since the company’s inception and has focused on providing training, motivation, and leadership through strong communication and interpersonal skills. She plans, organizes and directs the activities of General Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cost Accounting, Cash Management, Budgeting, Funding, and Reporting for BelaCor’s organizations encompassing multiple entities including alternative investments, green energy, hospitality, real estate, and tech ventures.
MANAGER
Sam, a graduate of Texas State University, is a technical writer and entrepreneur with a deep passion for the hospitality industry. Since establishing his first business as a private process server in 2004, Mr. McMurray has expanded his core competency to include investing, administration, and research. This experience has drawn Mr. McMurray to seek out other like-minded individuals to establish new and exciting businesses all over Austin, with The Tailor Shop being a culmination of a multi-year effort to seek out new opportunities.
Mr. McMurray has over a decade of experience as a small-business owner and entrepreneur, providing the foundation for his business operations, including site selection, rehabilitation and construction, and investor financing. In addition to overseeing the “back end” day-to-day operations, Mr. McMurray fully enjoys the “front end” of the business: interacting with customers to ensure their experience is constantly improving.
